Family Fun and Free Ideas

1. Go to a park and have a picnic!
2. Museum or National Park: Super Museum (and free) Sunday is coming up in Savannah, GA (Feb 6th). What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family!
3. National Parks have free days in 2011: National Park Week (April 16-24), the first day of summer (June 21), National Public Lands Day (September 24), and the weekend of Veterans Day (November 11-13).
4. See what events are scheduled at your local library. At the very least they should have a storytime for kids. (Another great way to help promote literacy). We are there at least 3x a week.
5. Home Depot Kids workshops! Free and they get an apron and a pin:

• Next one is 2/5: Make a heart shelf (what a great gift for mom/grandma for V-day) 9am-12pm

    6.   Lowe's  Build and Grow workshops! Free and they get an apron and a patch (some stores you even get to keep the goggles).

• Next one is 1/22 make a ball toss game  also 2/12 Music box (also great idea for mom/grandma for v-day) For Lowe's they ask that you register (so they can make sure they have enough for all)
